Privacy Policy

Last updated August 4, 2026

QueueMate is a free walk-up queuing tool for restaurants, operated by First Mate Technologies. This policy explains what we collect when you join a restaurant queue through QueueMate, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We follow the Philippine Data Privacy Act of 2012 (RA 10173).

What we collect

We ask for the least we need to hold your place in line and let you know when your table is ready:

  • Your name and party size, so the host can call you.
  • Optionally, a mobile number or email address, only if you choose to be alerted when your table is ready.
  • A random session token that links your phone to your spot in the queue. It contains no personal details.

How we use it

Your details are used solely to manage your place in line and to notify you that your table is ready. We do not use your details for marketing, and we do not sell or share them with third parties for their own purposes.

How long we keep it

Your name, mobile number, and email are deleted shortly after your visit ends. We keep only anonymous, aggregate counts (such as how many parties were served) to help restaurants understand their wait times.

Site analytics

To understand how restaurant owners find and use QueueMate, our marketing pages and the restaurant dashboard use PostHog, a product-analytics service acting on our instructions. It records page visits and product actions (such as signing up or printing a QR code) using a first-party cookie, with IP addresses discarded and no session recording.

The guest queue pages — the page you see after scanning a restaurant’s QR code, and your live status page — contain no analytics at all. No analytics cookie is set there and nothing about your visit is sent to any analytics service. Analytics data never includes guest names, mobile numbers, or email addresses. Restaurant accounts are different: when a restaurant signs up, the account email address is associated with its analytics profile so we can understand how operators adopt the tool. PostHog processes this data on servers in the European Union.

Your choices and rights

Sharing alert details is always optional, and you can leave the queue at any time. Under the Data Privacy Act, you may ask to access, correct, or object to the processing of your information. To make a request, email us at hello@firstmate.tech.

Notifications

If you opt in to a text or email alert, it covers only the moment your table is ready. Messages are sent from a registered sender, carry no marketing content, and honour opt-outs.
